I saw Hilma af Klint's amazing work here at the Guggenheim. Now there is a documentary, Beyond the Visible, about this mysterious artist. Born in 1862, her work is steeped in both mysticism and science. Not discovered until after her death, art critics are baffled how her work predates even Kandinsky in the foundations of abstract art. Can we rewrite history? This question has to be asked when considering her work.
