It's been an amazing couple of weeks wandering: Copenhagen, Berlin, Malmo, Prague, and Paris. When traveling, not only is the landscape interesting, but insight into how countries manage their big items such as infrastructure, jobs, health care, and education are fascinating to me. Also the ancillary items are important such as art and public art programs, green spaces and parks, governmental programs and campaigns. All of these things come together in an interesting mix.
As I travel, I often reflect on things I feel we can do better in this country, but it also makes me appreciate home. Everywhere I go, I hear American pop music (in English), see references to American pop-culture, and see a focus on our national news. THE WORLD IS WATCHING AND WE HAVE A GREAT RESPONSIBILITY TO LEAD. I always return home with new perspectives, great appreciation, and renewed energy.
