It's been an amazing couple of weeks wandering: Copenhagen, Berlin, Malmo, Prague, and Paris. When traveling, not only is the landscape interesting, but insight into how countries manage their big items such as infrastructure, jobs, health care, and education are fascinating to me. Also the ancillary items are important such as art and public art programs, green spaces and parks, governmental programs and campaigns. All of these things come together in an interesting mix.
I do see one thing that I feel is a common thread throughout the world...countries that are sensitive to the well-being of their populations and INVEST in them do better. As I travel, it's natural for me to reflect on things I feel we need to do better in our country, but it also makes me appreciate home. Everywhere I go, I hear American pop music (in English), see references to American pop-culture, and see a focus on our national news. THE WORLD IS WATCHING AND WE HAVE A GREAT RESPONSIBILITY TO LEAD...I HOPE WE CAN GET IT RIGHT. I return home with new perspective, great appreciation, and renewed energy. Now...back to the studio!
